Most memorable installations from Vivid Sydney 2012

Vivid Sydney is the festival of light celebrated every year during May-June and is one of the biggest art festivals in Sydney. If anyone is planning to visit the city around this time, coordinate with event dates and do visit Sydney harbour to see it alive with colourful light installations, projections on building facades and many creative professional events.

As Vivid Sydney 2013 is coming close (24th May – 10th June 2013), with more light installations this time, below are some of my favourites from last year.

Bright Blue Band

Anger
Projection on MCA facade transforming the facade into vibrant graphic art. More photos of this artwork can be seen here.

Hand Painting

Bonfire

Dissolve
Projection on Opera House. A timelapse video of this artwork can be seen here.

Lokulus 3D
The installation created some amazing patterns on the floor. My creative insticts drew me to those patterns and you can see those photos here. I’ve named the series as ‘Lokulus‘.
